Permissions
We will need an up to date AUP for every student using the Internet. In addition, we should get parental permission to post work, photos, audio, and video and it should be maintained centrally. Some parents will refuse to allow us to post their child's pictures and video. Some will not want even audio posted. I've dealt with that in the past. To make them comfortable, here are some facts:
- Students will not be identified by full name, just first name and initial. In most cases, student photos will not include any names at all.
- Students' danger from online sources is rare,
- We will be taking steps (teaching them not to meet, give emails, share addresses with people they meet online)
